My Platform

• Immediate Congressional impeachment hearings for Richard Cheney and George W. Bush.
• Public Congressional hearings on the events of Sept. 11, 2001, with all witnesses, including Cheney and Bush, under oath.
• De-privatize voting. All voting and counting systems to use
  open-source software, with paper ballots, verified by the voter,
  secured and available for recounts.
• Bring U.S. troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan, saving hundreds
  of billions of dollars for infrastructure and human needs in America.
  No U.S involvement in war anywhere. Stop U.S. torturing and conspiring
  to torture. National respect for international law.
• Publicly funded health care for all, with no insurance company profiteers.
• Stop government seizure of native and Hispanic land on the Mexican border for a 'security fence.'
• Public financing of election campaigns.
• Freedom for Leonard Peltier, Mumia Abu Jamal, and all political prisoners. Drop charges on the San Francisco eight.
• Federal minimum wage of $14 per hour, indexed to future inflation.
• Legislate an individual right of access to banking services in America, without excessive and usurious fees.
• Forbid destructive agricultural and mining practices. Drastic
  increase in new car miles-per-gallon standards. Legalize and promote
  the use of industrial hemp to nourish the soil and provide sustainable
  alternatives to cotton, corn-based ethanol, and some petroleum
  products. No subsidies for non-organic farming. Require all chemicals
  to be proved safe before being produced for public use.
• Stop foreclosures on workers' homes, 'subprime' and otherwise.
• End the No-Child-Left Behind program, and its obsession with
  endless standardized testing and punishing of students and teachers.
  Stop building prisons, release non-violent drug offenders and spend the
  money on improving public schools.
• No immigration 'reforms' at the expense of workers and their families.
