"Anti-Bush and anti-congress sentiment grows by the day in CT"
I was campainging for the US House at the Kent, CT 4-25-08 protest of GW
Bush's fundraiser at Henry Kissinger's home there that day for CT Repub. 5th
Dist. US House Candidate Dave Cappiello and was asked to forward the
Kennebunkport War Crimes Indictment Model Ordinance to key activists in
Cornwall, CT for review and pursuit there. Other CT 5th District towns may
follow, possibly to include Kissinger's home of Kent, CT, which is near
Cornwall.
The model ordinance incoporates the Nuremberg Charter verbatim as a
basis for town authority to investigate, arrest, prosecute, sentence and
refer for further action any known or suspected war criminal in a town or
city (municipality). The precedent of incorporating UN-US human rights
treaties into US municipal ordinances is recognized by US law so as to
defeat any arguments that such human rights law cannot be enforced in the
US, including arguments that such law cannot be enforced in towns and
cities. It clearly can be if a proper ordinance is passed.
It would be remarkable if Kenenbunkport, ME and Kent, CT passed local
ordinances against war criminal, making towns and cities war crimes and war
criminal free zones, which obviously could be applied to Bush and Kissinger.
These small acts by average citizens will speak volumes to congress and the
world that Americans demand justice for war crimes, and will not tolerate
government on any level that supports illegal and immoral wars, war crimes,
and war criminals in their midst. Where the national government of, by and
for the people fails to to support the Constitution and American interests
opposed to war crimes, the people can and must do so from the ground up.
Anti-Bush and anti-congress sentiment grows by the day in CT as the next
election looms.
